One Last Word (or two)
"If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." Doctrine &Convenants 38:30
Maybe it won't be used in your lifetime. It's a possibility. We've been counseled to have Food Storage for years, and there hasn't been a famine in our country-- yet. Even so, food is the one resource that can always be used. We know people who collect things: Baseball cards, Beanie Babies, limited edition statues and plates- you name it. But in the event of a financial or natural disaster, none of those things will be of any use. Food will be. "You can't eat Baseball Cards" is my husband's favorite saying! We know that famine, drought and calamity have been prophesied, yet we think it won't happen to us. One thing is for certain: being prepared will make our lives better! We will have peace of mind, we will have resuources when times are "thin", and we will be obeying the counsel of the prophets. Do not worry that you cannot do it all, or you cannot afford it. If you do your best, you will be blessed!
